The traditional company KGW Schweriner Maschinen- und Anlagenbau GmbH can look back at a
history of more than 55 years as one of the leading German manufacturers and suppliers of deck
machinery and equipment for vessels of any size and type.
Starting from a small beginning, steering gear units for a rudder torque up to 5,000 kNm,
deck cranes with electrical or electro-hydraulic drive as well as any kind of ship's winches
were developed and manufactured.
Today, KGW focuses its activities on its core business in the energy and environmental technology
field, however, products for the shipbuilding industry are still manufactured as job orders to customer specification. |
